Linux Shell Scripting




Script is nothing but a small program.

  • It is a combination of loops.
  • It is a group of variables,functions,pointers.




  • In case of linux we have default variables and if we create a file it stores in terms of inode number.

    variable types
  • ENV (Environmental variables)
  • SET(Global variables)
    In case of ENV we cannot change path.It is done automatically.
    In case of SET we can change the path.We can define our own variables.
